The Best Days to Visit Each Disney World Park

Posted on November 1, 2023November 20, 2023 by the mom recess

Planning a trip to the enchanting world of Disney World can be both thrilling and challenging. One key to a successful and stress-free visit is choosing the right days to explore each park with minimal crowds. To help you navigate this magical journey, let’s explore the best days to visit each Disney World park.

Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, Thursday or Wednesday

Many people begin their Disney vacations on a Sunday and will choose to head straight to the Magic Kingdom bright and early Monday morning. This is one reason to avoid Mondays, if possible. Magic Kingdom often sees the fewest crowds on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Wednesdays. Choosing any of these days gives you a substantial advantage in terms of shorter lines, less congestion, and an overall more enjoyable experience.

Below is a list of the days of the week in order from least busy to busiest at Magic Kingdom.

  • Thursday
  • Wednesday
  • Sunday
  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Monday

Epcot on Wednesdays

Whatever day you choose, don’t skip Epcot. Often this park gets a reputation for not being family or children focused. I completely disagree! Between the rides, the shows and the food, there are so many wonderful experiences to be had at Epcot for your whole family. Even our youngest Disney fan looks forward to our days spent in Epcot. This park is best enjoyed on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the crowds are lighter. These days provide ample opportunities to immerse yourself in the World Showcase and Future World without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Fridays or Sundays

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a nature lover’s paradise. Visit on a Friday or a Sunday for a more tranquil experience. With fewer visitors, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the park’s magnificent animal exhibits, thrilling attractions, and fantastic shows. The Festival of the Lion King is a must see experience!

Hollywood Studios on Tuesdays or Thursdays

Hollywood Studios, with its thrilling rides and Star Wars attractions, is best explored on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Although this park often feels crowded, the crowds are manageable on these days, allowing you to make the most of your visit.

Any Park on Saturdays or Sundays

Saturdays and Sundays bring a bit more excitement to all the Disney World parks, but they can still offer a fantastic experience, especially if you have a well-thought-out plan. These are great days for character meet-and-greets, parades, and special events.
